They represent a mixed bag of nationalities, backgrounds, and professions –a member of the “Buffalo Militia” from Kansas, a member of a Cornwall mining family, a nurse who worked with Dr. Clarenbach, a young man who died in France in 1918, a young woman who died in the insane asylum in Evanston. Some have no descendants in Crook County, some left a legacy of ancestors who continue living here today.
The cemetery walks are open to all and free – an enjoyable way to spend a summer evening -- simply meet at the cemetery at 6:30 p.m. Cemeterywalks this summer include Mt. Moriah on July 11, Moorcroft Cemetery on July 25, Moore Hill Cemetery near Hulett on August 1, and Greenwood Cemeteryoff Highway 116 on August 15.
